Sustainability
A sustainable business vision has been in the roots of family-run restaurant De Echoput for 70 years. Grandfather Klosse wanted to bring the culinary developments of France to the Netherlands in the 1950s, making use of all the beauty that local nature has to offer.
To this day, the local, sustainable kitchen vision is the beating heart of our operations. In doing so, we try to ask ourselves before every process what the impact is on people, animals and the planet. On this page, we would like to take you through our policy and efforts to provide sustainable hospitality at the highest level.
Green Key:
Our commitment to sustainability has been valued with a Silver Green Key as of January 2025. This lays the foundation to consciously and incrementally develop towards a Gold Key.
Green Key is the sustainability mark for the hospitality industry. Green Key aims to promote sustainability in the tourism and leisure industry and reduce its impact on the environment. There are currently over 750 businesses with Green Key certification (Bronze, Silver or Gold).
